This was originally a branding project for Visual Communication/Graphic Design I back in November 2018. We were assigned to create our own branding for a fictional place and I was assigned with creating a sushi restaurant (which ironically, is one of my least favorite places to eat). Nevertheless, Bamboo Blowfish was born, with the branding themed towards families of all ages.
Software used: Photoshop (animated gif) and Illustrator
IDEATION
Even though I'm not a fan of sushi, I tried researching for elements that would be appealing and kid-friendly. Since I love cartoons, I went with creating a panda mascot character with a blowfish's body. For the menu, I wanted to include certain appealing side dishes for those (particularly kids) who are not sushi-fans themselves.
